50 years ago today, Saturday the 14Th of January '61, I along with other's fresh from Yeovil via Bordon (Depot) destined for 112 Coy and our Sister Company, Thexty Thex, were met off of the Blue Train at Langwedell by S/Sgt Sears (long tall fellah, reputed to be ex-wooden top). Then began another two weeks of extra Military Training as it was felt that we didn't have enough back in Blighty. Ah, the nightly trip down to the cellar (the domain of Herman the German) for our issue of coal brick's and the trips in the RL's to the cookhouse for our meals. But, we did get our NAAFI breaks in the TOC-H next door!
Think it stopped when (or before) we moved to Liebenau.
